Jake made it all the way to the USA to watch the Socceroos live. He gets home just in time for the next knockout game… and somehow still has to work Saturday morning.
So we’re opening Plan B at 3:30am.
Last Friday’s lunchtime clash was everything we hoped it would be. The bar was pumping, the burgers were flying, beers were disappearing as quickly as they were poured, and every tackle, save and chance had the whole venue hanging on every second.
For a midday kick-off, the atmosphere was enormous.
If you were here, you know exactly what we’re talking about. If you weren’t… your mates have probably already told you what you missed.
Now it’s time for the next chapter.
Australia vs Egypt. Saturday Morning. 3:30am.
This one’s a little different.
The Socceroos have booked themselves a place in the Round of 32, and while most of Sydney will still be asleep, we’ll have the lights on and the grills fired up.
We’re opening from 3:30am this Saturday morning so you don’t have to watch one of Australia’s biggest World Cup matches from your couch.
We’ll have fireball shots for the sensible ones (hehe), cold beers for the optimistic ones, smash burgers, wings and everything else required to survive a pre-dawn kick-off. Whether you’re setting an alarm, staying up all night or simply making some wonderfully questionable life decisions, we’ll be ready.
Football Is Better Together
Some games are worth setting an alarm for. Others are worth not going to bed at all.
This one definitely falls into one of those categories. There’s something different about watching Australia in knockout football with a room full of strangers who instantly become mates every time the green and gold goes forward.
Every near miss feels personal.
Every save feels massive.
Every goal… let’s hope we’ve got plenty of reasons to lose our voices.
See You Before Sunrise
Australia vs Egypt. Saturday morning. Doors open 3:30am.
Come hungry. Come loud. Come wearing green and gold.
We’ll see you before the sun does.
